Name the Mascot Terms and Conditions

OFFICIAL RULES — CHICKEN FAT “NAME THE MASCOT” CONTEST

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

By participating in the Chicken Fat “Name the Mascot” Contest (the “Contest”), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Chicken Fat Games, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

1. Eligibility

The Chicken Fat Name the Mascot Contest (the "Contest") is open to individuals who:

Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry
Are a verified backer of the Chicken Fat Kickstarter campaign (campaign URL: [KS link])
Are not residents of the following jurisdictions where this type of contest is restricted or prohibited: Quebec (Canada), and any other jurisdiction where participation would be unlawful

Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of Chicken Fat Games, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household, are not eligible to enter.

Void where prohibited by law.

2. Contest period

Submission window opens: Saturday, March 14, 2026
Submission window closes: Monday, March 25, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time
Bracket voting period: March 26, 2026 – approximately April 4, 2026
Winner announced: On or around April 5, 2026

Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to extend or shorten the Contest period at its sole discretion with reasonable notice.

3. How to enter

Eligible entrants must complete the official Google Form submission during the submission window. The form requires:

First and last name
A mascot name suggestion
The email address used to back the Chicken Fat Kickstarter campaign

Limit of one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. Entries submitted by any automated means are not permitted.

Submission of an entry constitutes agreement to these Terms and Conditions in full.

4. Entry requirements

Submitted mascot names must:

Be original and not infringe on any third-party trademark, copyright, or intellectual property rights
Be appropriate for a general audience (PG-13 standard — no profanity, hate speech, or sexually explicit content)
Not reference any real person in a defamatory, misleading, or harmful way
Not contain any commercial messaging or advertising

Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet these requirements, at its sole discretion.

5. Judging and voting

Phase 1 — Bracket seeding: Following the close of the submission window, Chicken Fat Games will curate a bracket of up to 32 names from all eligible entries. Curation is at the sole discretion of Chicken Fat Games. Not all submitted names will appear in the bracket.

Phase 2 — Community voting: The bracket will be posted publicly on the Chicken Fat Games Instagram and Facebook pages. Community members will vote in head-to-head matchups via platform-native polls. Voting is open to the public — entry into the submission phase is not required to vote.

The winning name is the name that wins the final championship matchup. In the event of a tie or technical error, Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to determine the winner at its sole discretion.

6. Winner notification

The winner will be contacted via the email address provided in their submission form within 48 hours of the championship vote closing. The winner must respond within 48 hours of notification. If the winner does not respond within this period, Chicken Fat Games will follow up once. If there is still no response, Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to select an alternate winner from the remaining finalists.

Chicken Fat Games will not announce the winner's name or handle publicly without the winner's explicit written consent.

7. Prize

The winner will receive the following (the "Prize"):

a) Permanent website credit
The winner's chosen name or handle will appear permanently on the Chicken Fat Games mascot page as the person who named the mascot. The winner may choose to appear as their full name, first name only, or a self-selected handle or nickname.

b) New official mascot vibe
The winner will have the opportunity to submit a concept for a new official mascot vibe to be added to the Chicken Fat mascot roster on the official website. The concept may include suggestions for outfit, accessories, attitude, and overall character. The new vibe is subject to brand fit review and approval by Chicken Fat Games at its sole discretion. If approved, the new vibe will be illustrated and added to the official mascot page with the winner credited as its creator. Chicken Fat Games retains full ownership of all mascot artwork and intellectual property.

c) A Chicken Fat event with Jamie and Michael
Chicken Fat Games will coordinate a Chicken Fat event with the winner and the founders. Where travel is feasible, founders will attend in person. Where travel is not practical, the event will take place virtually. Timing and format will be coordinated with the winner. The event will take place at a mutually agreed upon date, ideally timed to align with the retail release of Chicken Fat.

No cash or other substitution of the Prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of Chicken Fat Games. The Prize is non-transferable. All costs not expressly described above (including but not limited to travel, accommodation, and incidental expenses incurred by the winner) are the winner's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Intellectual property

By submitting an entry, the entrant grants Chicken Fat Games a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use the submitted name in connection with the Contest, including for promotional and marketing purposes. If the submitted name is selected as the winning name, Chicken Fat Games will adopt it as the official mascot name and the entrant agrees that Chicken Fat Games retains full ownership of the mascot and its name.

The entrant warrants that their submission is original, does not infringe any third-party rights, and that they have full authority to grant the above license.

9. Publicity

By accepting the Prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, handle, and general location (city/country) by Chicken Fat Games for promotional purposes across social media, the Chicken Fat website, and other marketing channels, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

10. Limitation of liability

Chicken Fat Games is not responsible for: lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries; technical failures of any kind; unauthorized human intervention; or any other errors or problems of any kind relating to or in connection with the Contest.

Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, as determined by Chicken Fat Games in its sole discretion.

11. Disputes

This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.

12. General

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the entrant and Chicken Fat Games with respect to the Contest. Chicken Fat Games reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time with reasonable notice. Continued participation in the Contest following any such amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
