Name the Mascot Contest

He's been with us since the beginning.

Every card we wrote, every rule we debated, every late night deciding whether something was right for this game — we kept coming back to this bird.

Loud. Chaotic. Over the top. Always mid-disaster, somehow always winning.

It wasn't just branding. It was the filter. If a decision felt like something this bird would do, we kept it. If it didn't, we cut it.

Chicken Fat exists the way it does because of this mascot.

And it still doesn't have a name. That's where you come in.

HOW IT WORKS

Back Chicken Fat on Kickstarter and submit your best mascot name via the form below. You don't need to be a backer to vote — but you do need to be a backer to submit a name.

The community votes tournament-style until one name wins. Voting is open to everyone. The winning name becomes official — on the website, canon, forever.

Submissions close March 25, 2026. The bracket drops March 26. The champion is announced around April 5.

WHAT THE WINNER GETS

Naming this mascot is permanent. Here's what comes with it.

Your name on the mascot page - forever! Permanent credit on the website as the person who named the mascot. You choose how your name appears — full name, first name, or a handle of your choosing.

A brand new official mascot vibe. You get to create a new official vibe for the mascot — joining the existing roster right here on this page. Suggest the outfit, the attitude, the accessories. We review for brand fit and if it's approved, it gets illustrated and added with you credited as its creator.

A Chicken Fat event with the creators. We'll celebrate with you in person if we can make the travel work, or virtually if not. Timing will be coordinated around the retail release of Chicken Fat.

THE BRACKET

After submissions close on March 25, we'll seed the best names into a 32-name tournament bracket. Voting is open to the public on Instagram and Facebook — head-to-head matchups, one per day, until one name is left standing.

Think March Madness. But for a chaotic chicken who helped build a game.
